Composite armor

Back to the invention list

A composite armor easily formed into any arbitrary shape, but retaining both hardness and bulk toughness.

It is particularly well suited for making armor pieces in complex shapes to protect body parts and vehicle parts. Form fitted armor can be manufactured at a reasonable cost.

This armor has the beneficial property of resisting penetration particularly well perpendicular to its surface, even on a complex curve shape. This is very close to the ideal, since otherwise armor curvature can result in weaknesses in critical locations.

This invention has a large number of derivative variations
