This invention, in combination with several related inventions combine to form a variety of composite body and small vehicle armors capable of being formed to most any shape, yet maintaining excellent directional impact resistance.
Some variations of this armor are also extremely resistant to shaped charge penetration. And some variations are particularly good at absorbing very large amounts of energy as they are being crushed by impacts and shaped charge jets far beyond their capacity to stop.
These variations are particularly useful in conditions where personal armor and light vehicle armor are hit with weapons designed to defeat heavy armor.
