We do not solicit any direct investment in Invention Concepts. You can't buy shares or become partners in our general research effort. But the development of each individual invention can be participated in by a number of means:
Buying Patent rights: Individuals or Corporations capable of manufacturing and distribution can (of course) buy patent rights directly, by the customary practice of an "up front" payment plus (negotiated) royalties.
Development Corporations: A (joint venture) corporation may be set up specifically for the development of one invention. In that case, Invention Concepts contribution to the capitalization of the (new) corporation shall be the patent rights to the invention to be developed, in exchange for (a negotiated amount of) stock in the Development Corporation.
Limited Partnerships: Small entrepreneurs willing to bear more of the (early stage) development burdens can often reap greater rewards (a greater share of profits) by starting out with an invention which has not been tested as thoroughly yet.
Prototype Building and Preliminary Development: Individuals without (significant) cash can participate in early stage development of inventions by:- Building proof of principal prototypes and "perfecting" a commercial product.
- Doing the "legwork" of analyzing market needs, distributor interest, and locating "appropriate" manufacturers.
- Patent application participation: Assisting in drafting patent drawings, preparing patent specifications and claims, patent searches, etc.
Generally, early stage development (prior to proof of principal and evidence of commercial viability) has the greatest risks and rewards.
